The Houston DreamTeam was formed to give Christian dream interpreters in the Houston area an opportunity to apply their interpration skills in ministry to the Houston community.

The Bible is full of references where God spoke to people during their night dreams to reveal to them something He wanted them to know about their life or the lives of those around them.  These dreams weren't just limited to His followers, but were often given to the pagan and unrighteous as well.  To understand the dreams that God gives us requires the ability to hear God speaking to us about our situations in life.  Just as in Biblical days, God still speaks to people through a variety of methods, one of which is dreams.

Unlike the Jungian, or Freudian, method of dream interpretation that assumes that all dreams arise arbitrarily from inside the psyche of the dreamer to deal with things that are repressed or unknown in the dreamer's life, or the literal methods of dream interpretation that largely assume that the elements of dreams are to be taken literally, our method of dream interpretation assumes that dreams predominantly come from God to reveal His will to the dreamer, and as such, are largely symbolic in nature.  This revelatory nature of dreams puts them in the same class as the church-age gift of prophecy, which, according to 1 Corinthians 14:3 is given to people for edification, exhortation, and comfort.

Years of practical application have proven this methodology to be extremely accurate.  Both Christians and non-Christians who have received dream interpretation using this method have testified again and again as to the accuracy and applicability of the revelation to their lives, In many cases, people have been brought closer in their relationship to God, and in some cases, have been saved from terrible harm and even death.  In all cases, people have been encouraged that God knows their situation in life, cares about them deeply, and wants to bring them to a deeper place of spiritual health and wholeness. 

As Christian dream interpreters, we are called by God to partner with Him in helping others understand what He is speaking to them in these mysterious messages of the night.  To do this requires an intimate walk with God, an ability to hear from God about what He is wanting to convey to the dreamer, and a solid understanding dream dynamics and symbology.  This requires training, and there are numerous venues through which accomplish this training, including John Paul Jackson's Streams Ministries' Institute for Spiritual Development courses, Barbie Breathitt's workshops and manuals, and Doug Addison's books and workshops.  See the resource link for more information.
